1. Not a Law Firm; No Legal Advice

NYC Lawyer Guide is an independent, informational directory. We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice, and we do not represent clients in any legal matter. Nothing on the Site — including directory listings, articles, blog posts, or any other content — constitutes legal advice or creates an attorney-client relationship between you and NYC Lawyer Guide. You are responsible for independently verifying an attorney's licensing status and standing, including through the New York State Unified Court System, before engaging their services.

4. Sponsored and Paid Content

Some listings, placements, or content on the Site may be sponsored, paid, or otherwise commercially supported by the attorney or firm featured. Where this is the case, we aim to identify such content as sponsored or featured. Paid placement does not constitute an endorsement of the quality of any attorney's services.

5. User Conduct

When using the Site, you agree not to: use the Site for any unlawful purpose; submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information; attempt to interfere with the security or proper functioning of the Site; scrape, copy, or reproduce Site content for commercial redistribution without our prior written consent; or impersonate any person or entity, including an attorney or law firm.

6. Intellectual Property

The Site, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and other content (excluding third-party content and user-submitted content), is owned by or licensed to NYC Lawyer Guide and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of Site content without our prior written permission, except as necessary for personal, non-commercial use of the Site.

The Site contains links to third-party websites, including the websites of attorneys and law firms, which are not owned or controlled by NYC Lawyer Guide. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NYC LAWYER GUIDE AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY CONTENT OR LISTING FOUND ON THE SITE, INCLUDING YOUR DECISION TO CONTACT OR RETAIN ANY ATTORNEY OR FIRM LISTED HERE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
